A short Light Set Up Tutorial
First of all, I have to say that I am no expert in working with Daz3D and I know there are much more complexe methods to set up lighting in Daz3D (also with a better result), but I just want to show how I set up Lights in my renders.

So I am open for critics and ideas, but pls spare me with comments like makeing jokes about the simplicity of my light set up. - I know its simple and not very professional....But some people asked me how I do it and if I can make a tutorial.

So in case you looking forward to have a pictures rendered like above, we can start. Otherwise if you want it more complex and more realistic you have to find someone else to show you how to do it (I am still looking for someone who is willing to show me some more detailed set ups for Daz3D, my own.)

The Beginning
In the Beginning you set up a scene.

This can be what ever you can image (as long as your content allows it :) )

In this case I just set a girl on a little stage in front of a photo shooting backround.

I always suggest to use a camera. Thats the best option in case you have to change something on your model, but the perfect angle for shot has already been found.

Now let us see how it looks like......

First Render
Now we render that thing and you see, it looks........well.......unnatural.

The Render Time took only few seconds, but is this what the picture should looks like?

If your answer is no, then you switch to the next picutres and I show you how to change it.

Setting up the Ueberenvirioment Light
To make our pictures looking better, getting the best out of all textures and to set up an all surrounding light we have to add an Ueberenviroment Light.

After you have added it into your scene you should make sure, that the sphere is surrounding all neccesary parts of your Scene.

You can then set up the quality of your Ueberenviroment Light. Using the lowest will result a short render time, but your pictures are looking like shot in an ash rain with ugly squares and pixles.
Choosing the best quality will result in a longer render time, but your pictures have the best quality you can get with Vanilla Daz3D

Result with UE Light
And now you can see a big difference, don´t you?

This is looking quite good, but we are not finished, yet
